PETALING JAYA, April 6 – In conjunction with the upcoming fasting month of Ramadan, Jemput Makan di Kampung Resort Café returns to Sunway Resort with authentic culinary delights and culture amidst a nostalgic ambience.
Sous Chef Tournant of The Resort Café, Mohamad Yatim Supaat said a key highlight for the hotel this year would be the outdoor live-action stalls with an extensive buffet spread indoors featuring mouth-watering authentic local and international specialities.
The offerings are spread over outdoor bazaar stalls such as the must try tempoyak patin at the Warung TempoyakPatin, chargrilled prime beef and chicken at Warung Bakar, fork-tender meat at Warung Daging Panggang, roasted lamb at Warung Kambing Golek and classic briyani rice with must-have accompaniments such as briyani gravy, ayam goreng, telur briyani at Warung Mangkuk Besar Nasi Briyani.
Diners can also enjoy traditional favourites at WarungLemang and Bubur Lambuk, flatbreads made à la minute at Warung Roti, ever-popular beef and chicken satay grilled and aromatic bite-sized otak-otak at Warung Satay and Otak-otak.
Head on to Warung Fusion includes petai sambal belacanmee goreng, tempeh with peanut sauce and sambal on pillow-soft mantou buns, vegetable charcoal burgers with green chilli sauce, spicy beef dendeng stuffed mantou buns, breaded fried bananas with hot-sour sauce and a variety of Chinese, Indian and Western selections.
Noodle lovers are in for a treat with local soup and gravy-based favourites at the Mee Station serving up Nyonyalaksa, curry laksa, bakso and the signature seafood noodles with king prawn and clams.
While Nasi Station offers classic rice preparations like nasi hujan panas, fragrant steamed rice, tomato rice, nasiminyak including nasi bukhari, and chicken kabsa from the Middle East.
The Dessert Corner is a must-stop for diners where a tantalising range of home-made Malay, Nyonya and Western treats await while Salad Tower offers traditional ulam-ulaman.
Besides the buffet spread, guests can also capture Insta-worthy moments in a vibrant ‘kampung’ setting and participate in fun activities while waiting for breaking fast by weaving ribbons into ketupats or creating paper Raya decorations.
