AFYAA contributes meals to three PwD organisations to break fast

KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- AFYAA Sdn Bhd (AFYAA), through Special Iftar for Ummah (SIFU), a joint programme with MyFundAction, has donated meals for the breaking of fast to three charity organisations for persons with disabilities (PwDs) during Ramadan.

The donation, which started on April 13, involved the Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB), Pusat Kebajikan Ahsana Kuala Lumpur and the Industrial Training and Rehabilitation Centre for the Disabled (PLPP), with a total contribution of RM10,000 to MyFundAction.

AFYAA director, Azim Adnan, said that at the initial stage, 121 food packets worth RM20 each had been distributed to the three organisations.

“In the month of Ramadan, apart from celebrating the contributions of our dealers and agents here, we also want to treat orphans and tahfiz students,” he said when met by reporters at the Iftar Ya AFYAA event yesterday.

At the event, AFYAA also feted 25 orphans from Rumah Penyayang Nur Iman, Setapak, apart from presenting duit raya as well as celebrating 400 dealers of its health products.

“In conjunction with the month of Ramadan, apart from focusing on religious deeds, we also have the opportunity to focus on health, and in the days leading to Aidilfitri we, at AFYAA, would like to remind others that we can celebrate Aidilfitri in moderation and may all our affairs be eased,” he said.

In another development, AFYAA founder, Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, shared that the company will introduce three health products based on Sunnah food in the near future to help improve the health of the community.

“This June, Insya-Allah, we have a product specifically for cholesterol called Sahiyya, and at the end of the year, we will launch two more products for detox and meal replacement. All our products are to ensure a healthy and safe community life,” he said.

Since its inception last year, the company has produced two health products, namely AFYAA Hayyiba and AFYAA Ryndu, which have successfully penetrated markets in Brunei, Singapore and Indonesia.
