Ketengah distributes RM1.1 mln in aid to recipients this Ramadan

KUALA TERENGGANU, April 27 (Bernama) -- The Central Terengganu Development Corporation (Ketengah) has allocated RM1.1 million in aid for 5,500 recipients comprising the poor, orphans, disabled and invalids in conjunction with Ramadan this year.

Its general manager, Tengku Ahmad Nadzri Tengku Musa said the aid distribution to the recipients was  in stages from April 11 and was expected to be completed tomorrow in three districts, namely, Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman.

"Each of the individuals receives RM200 which hopefully, could help lessen the burden of meeting their needs during this Ramadan,” he said in a statement today.

The contribution through the Tabung Amanah Masyarakat Ketengah (Ketengah Community Trust Fund) was introduced in 2006, with the biggest contribution to this being part of the profits made by the Ketengah subsidiary companies as a corporate social responsibility (CSR).
