Rtm Ramadan Tour: High-powered Motorcycle Treat For 32 Orphans, Asnaf

KANGAR, March 16 (Bernama) -- A total of 32 orphans and asnaf in Perlis were treated to a ride on high-powered motorcycles to get their Hari Raya Aidilfitri items via the RTM Ramadan Tour Programme today.

Deputy director-general of Broadcasting (Strategic) Nasaruddin Abdul Muttalib said all masjid kariah (mosque community), between the ages of six and 17, in the state were given donations of Aidilfitri items that they went on to select themselves.

"We invited them to pick what they wanted for Raya such as their clothets, shoes and accessories," he told reporters in conjunction with the tour programme at the Tuanku Syed Putra Broadcasting Complex here today.

Nasaruddin said that after being taken on the high-powered motorcycles, they were also treated to a buka puasa gathering and were given 'duit Raya' at the complex.

Meanwhile, one of the orphans, Muhammad Aqif Ilham Saidon, 10, said he was very excited to ride on the high-powered motorcycle as it was his first experience.

"I am excited to ride on a big motorcycle as I have only seen others riding high-powered motorcycles. I am very happy." he said.
