King, Queen Give Away 'bubur Lambuk' To Bernama Staff

KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, the King and Queen of Malaysia, today gave away bubur lambuk or savoury porridge to the staff of the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama).

Istana Negara Head of Corporate Communications Datuk Muzli Mohd Zin said he represented the Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Zailani Hashim to distribute 1,200 packs of bubur lambuk cooked by Istana Negara staff to three organisations today, namely Bernama, Kuala Lumpur Hospital and Media Prima.

“This is the first day of distribution of Their Majesties’ donation of bubur lambuk, and it will continue throughout the month of Ramadan,” he told Bernama here.

Meanwhile, Bernama chief executive officer Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin said the agency is grateful to Their Majesties for the donation of bubur lambuk, which is a very popular dish served during the breaking of fast during Ramadan.

“Of course, all of us in Bernama are looking forward to tasting the special dish prepared by the Istana Negara staff. Thank you, Your Majesties,” she said.
