Discounts Of Up To 30 Per Cent At Johor's Salam Ramadan Rahmah Sales

JOHOR BAHRU, Feb 22 (Bernama) -- Johoreans are urged to take advantage of discounts ranging from 10 per cent to 30 per cent on essential goods at the Salam Ramadan 2025 Rahmah Sales Programme (PJR), which runs from today until March 7.

Johor Investment, Trade, Consumer Affairs and Human Resources Committee chairman Lee Ting Han said the programme will take place at eight locations from 9 am to 6 pm.

The locations are Tapak Pasar Khamis Kampung Sungai Tiram, Tapak Lama Pasar Minggu Taman Anggerik Bandar Tenggara, Perkarangan Kompleks Sukan Komuniti FELDA Ulu Belitong, JDT Corner Big Screen Dataran Cenderawasih, Dewan Serbaguna Dun Kemelah Taman Pelangi Segamat, Dewan Serbaguna Benut Pontian, MS Downtown Parit Sulong and Pasaraya Mari-Mari Mersing front parking lot. 

"This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on Bangsa Johor, especially as they prepare for the upcoming Ramadan," he said at a press conference after visiting the PJR Salam Ramadan 2025 at Tapak Pasar Khamis Kampung Sungai Tiram here today.

Earlier, checks by Bernama found that the programme was well received, with crowds queuing to purchase essential items such as packet cooking oil, eggs, rice and fresh chicken.

Lee also announced that the Bazar Ramadan Rahmah (BRR) programme will be held at eight popular Ramadan bazaars from March 1 to 31, featuring 963 traders.

They are Bazar Ramadan Taman Dahlia Johor Bahru, Bazar Ramadan Dewan Jubli Intan Muar, Bazar Ramadan Taman Intan Kluang, Bazar Ramadan Bandar Utama Segamat, Bazar Ramadan PESTA Batu Pahat, Bazar Ramadan Taman Sri Saujana Kota Tinggi, Bazar Ramadan Taman Wawasan Mersing and Bazar Ramadan Pekan Nenas Pontian.

"Touch'n Go eWallet vouchers worth RM20 for visitors and RM100 for traders will be offered at selected BRR locations.

"This supports the Retail Sector Digitalisation Initiative (ReDi), promoting cashless transactions," he said.

Additionally, he said Johor will launch the Program Jualan RAHMAH MADANI Dalam Premis in conjunction with Salary Week at 55 supermarkets across 26 parliamentary and 56 state constituencies from Feb 24 to 28.
