Labuan Ramadan Bazaar Traders Maintain Ethical Business Practices - Lc
LABUAN, March 14 (Bernama) -- Traders at 241 licensed Ramadan bazaars in Labuan are committed to ethical business practices, adhering to the rules and regulations outlined in their licences, said Labuan Corporation (LC) chief executive officer Rithuan Ismail.
He said inspections found that all traders uphold cleanliness standards, with staff possessing valid health certificates.
"We have conducted spot checks at all bazaar sites, and our findings indicate that food traders and hawkers are adhering to the rules and regulations," he told Bernama today.
He said LC has approved four bazaar sites, namely Pantai Taman Damai, Kampung Layang-Layangan, Ujana Kewangan, and parking lots at the administration building of the Labuan Matriculation College and Kampung Patau-Patau 2.
"It is imperative that all food and beverage traders and hawkers strictly comply with food safety regulations throughout their bazaar operations.
"We cannot afford to receive complaints regarding food poisoning or exorbitant prices," he said.
Rithuan said to ensure ongoing compliance with business activity regulations, LC's enforcement team is stationed at all bazaar sites daily.
