Csa Academy Fetes Orphans, Underprivileged At Breaking Of Fast Event
KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- A total of 35 orphans and the less fortunate from Pertubuhan Rahoma Darul Fakir in Keramat here were feted at a ‘Jalinan Kasih Ramadan’ breaking of fast event hosted by the CSA Academy today.
CSA Academy Analyst Credit Manager Roshanizam Roslan said the initiative was part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed at providing support to the underprivileged and orphaned children in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
“This marks the seventh CSR programme we've conducted. Usually, we host the elderly, persons with disabilities and those with autism during festive seasons.
“However, this time, we're feting orphaned children and underprivileged individuals by providing them with essential items for Hari Raya such as clothing, shoes, tudung (headscarves) and daily attire,” he told Bernama after presenting a replica cheque worth RM5,000 to Pertubuhan Rahoma Darul Fakir during the event.
Also present were Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, Bernama Editor-in-Chief D Arul Rajoo, CSA Academy operation director Kym Lim and CSA Academy branding and marketing director Snow Wong.
Meanwhile, Nur-ul Afida said Bernama is a strategic partner to CSA Academy in organising the breaking of fast event with orphaned children and the less fortunate from Pertubuhan Rahoma Darul Fakir.
“I see this collaboration as highly beneficial for Bernama, as it brings joy to these orphaned children.
“I also welcome cooperation from other corporate partners with Bernama because such collaboration not only brings joy to deserving individuals but also provides media coverage, making it a win-win situation for both parties,” she said.
Earlier, the orphaned children and underprivileged individuals, aged seven to 17, were taken shopping for clothes worth RM200 each at a shopping centre in the city.
