Bernama Holds Ramadan Csr Programme To Embrace Spirit Of Giving

PUTRAJAYA, March 29 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) today held its annual Ramadan corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme here with the theme ‘Indahnya Ramadan’, aimed at spreading joy and kindness within the Putrajaya community.

Held at the Dataran Putrajaya from 6 pm till 7 pm, the highlight of the programme includes the distribution of 1,000 food packs and goodie bags to visitors by Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil, reflecting the spirit of compassion and generosity that defines the month of Ramadan.

Bernama chief executive officer Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin said the news agency believed in the importance of giving back to society, particularly during this holy month of Ramadan.

“Through our Ramadan CSR programme, we aim to share goodwill with the masses,” she said, adding that Bernama is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community during this auspicious time.

Also present were Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa, Bernama chairman Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai and editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj.

The event was also supported by Bernama’s strategic partners, namely FGV Holdings Bhd, Hong Leong Islamic Bank, Maju Expressway Sdn Bhd, All Kurma Sdn Bhd, Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education, Putrajaya Corporation and Miaow Miaow Food Products Sdn Bhd.

This was the new agency’s second Ramadan CSR programme. The first one was held last year at Bazaria Lembah Pantai where 500 food packs were distributed to the local community.
