‘Glam Ramadan Bazar Klebang’ best platform for MSMEs to market their products
MELAKA, March 27 (Bernama) -- The ‘Glam Ramadan Bazar Klebang’, organised throughout the fasting month for the people to make Eid preparations, is the best platform for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) to market their products.
Klebang assemblyman Datuk Lim Ban Hong said it is also in line with the government’s focus on creating more MSMEs, thus boosting the people’s economy post-COVID-19.
“As we can see, most of the traders who participate in the Glam Ramadan Bazar Klebang are MSMEs who need space to expand their businesses, (and) every year, this bazaar serves as a platform to train and produce more MSMEs, especially from the youth category,” he told reporters after visiting the bazaar here last night.
Also present were Paya Rumput assemblyman Datuk Rais Yasin and Glam Bazar Klebang general manager Rashid Omar.
Lim also hoped the organiser could ensure the cleanliness, safety and smooth traffic flow in the area, adding that the authorities will conduct monitoring from time to time.
Meanwhile, Rashid said about 1.5 million people are expected to visit the Glam Ramadan Bazar Klebang, and 117 tents have been set up for the sale of various Raya preparation items, such as baju kurung, baju melayu, scarves and kuih raya.
In addition, a lucky draw with prizes worth up to RM50,000, including a Proton Saga and a Yamaha Y16ZR motorcycle, also awaits visitors to the bazaar.
“Visitors can participate in the lucky draw with a minimum spending of RM30 at any stall. In addition, on April 2, there will be performances by artistes such as Datuk Awie and Erra Fazira,” he said.
Rashid also said that although the bazaar was organised with a glamorous and modern concept, religious activities such as selawat programmes before breaking of fast, ‘khatam Quran’ on the night of the Nuzul Quran, and the distribution of bubur lambuk were also held.
