Kpj Healthcare Hands Rm850,000 Of Zakat To Johor Zakat Fitrah Committee

JOHOR BAHRU, April 17 (Bernama) -- KPJ Healthcare Berhad, through five KPJ Southern Region Specialist Hospitals, handed over RM850,000 in business zakat for 2022 to the Johor State Zakat and Fitrah Commitee.

KPJ Healthcare leadership officer Norhaizam Mohammad shared that RM250,000 was from KPJ Johor, KPJ Puteri (RM150,000), KPJ Pasir Gudang (RM300,000), KPJ Kluang (RM50,000) and KPJ Bandar Maharani (RM100,000) at the zakat presentation ceremony at Persada Johor Convention Centre here recently.

"Besides this, KPJ Healthcare also contributed RM150,000 to the Waqaf An-Nur Clinic Fund.

"We are glad to carry on the social welfare effort and to inculcate the community spirit in our operation chain, in line with the objective of strengthening our business sustainability through caring for the community’s welfare and helping more people in need,” she said in a statement today.

Norhaizam said Ramadan donations were also presented to seven associations and non-governmental organisations (NGO) in the state.

Overall, KPJ Healthcare contributed over RM1.035 million in business zakat and donations last year, she added.
