MASAK APA CHEF? SEASON 2 TO FEATURE SIX CHEFS FROM VARIOUS BACKGROUNDS
KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 (Bernama) -- Malaysian cooking show Masak Apa Chef? will return for season 2 by bringing together six Malaysian chefs to ring in the Ramadan season by showing locals quick delicious iftar meals.
The show’s producer, Estilo Media, said in a statement today the programme features Malaysian chefs from different backgrounds and cultures, with a “Truly Malaysia” cooking stage, in partnership with AEON BiG (M) Sdn Bhd (AEON BiG), and Midea Scott and English Electronics Sdn Bhd.
The chefs are Chef Hasmadi from Everly Hotel, Chef Muze (Cili Kampung Restaurant), Chef Arieni (Gula Cakery), Chef Jia Le Woh (@jialewoh_cookingversion), Chef Dave (chefdave_veganjourney) and Chef BangMan (aimansalim).
“While families celebrate this festive season, we are always praying for happiness, blessings and abundance.
“In view of this, Masak Apa Chef? did not forget about the less fortunate; supporting the initiative, AEON BiG and Midea Malaysia generously paid it forward by donating electrical appliances and food aid to support almost 300 families among the Orang Asli community," the statement said.
The donations were presented to two non-governmental organisations, namely Play Unlimited and Epic Homes.
Play Unlimited is a social enterprise that aims to utilise play in facilitating community building and the nurturing of one’s overall sense of well-being at the Royal Belum Rainforest whereas Epic Homes is a movement that builds homes for Orang Asli families as a platform to bridge the gap between the urban and rural communities.
AEON BiG managing director Sheikh Farouk Sheikh Mohamed said besides the donation to the Orang Asli community, the Masak Apa Chef? programme also contributes to viewers and small- and medium-size enterprises (SMEs).
Meanwhile, Midea Scott and English Electronics general manager Mark Tam said cooking shows are the best platforms to showcase kitchen appliances as viewers can see the products in action in a real kitchen setting.
The second season of Masak Apa Chef?, which is fully produced in Malaysia, takes its audience on a round trip through all the different cultures and cuisines this country has to offer. The show will be aired in April 2023.
Two episodes of the show were recorded live at AEON BiG Wangsa Maju.
The show’s main objective is to showcase and promote the diverse cultures and cuisines that Malaysia has to offer as well as the talents of Malaysian chefs, their unique approach to cooking local cuisines and their inspiration from Malaysia’s diverse pool heritage and customs.
