KUALA LUMPUR,  April 8 (Bernama) -- To enliven the spirit of Ramadan, about 50 Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) staff gathered together for the Jom Sahur 2023/1444H programme held at Wisma Bernama, early today.

Bernama chief executive officer Roslan Ariffin said the yearly event which had been organised since 2021, is aimed at fostering camaraderie among staff as well as to provide encouragement to those who work into the wee hours of the morning.

“The staff, including the top management team came together for the pre-dawn meal and this has become a regular activity during Ramadan,” he said at the event.

After the meal, all present joined to perform Subuh prayers in congregation.

Meanwhile, Roslan also hoped and prayed staff of Benama would be able to get as much merit as possible and maximise their worship in this blessed month of Ramadan.

“Syawal is also nearing and I hope this year we will be able to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with our families. May this year’s celebration be the best for us all,” he said.
