KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Women, Family, and Community Development (KPWKM) today gave 300 packs of Sarawak Laksa as iftar meals to the Malaysian National News Agency’s (Bernama) staff here.

Minister’s Press Secretary Deborah Catherine Dris said the donation was a gesture of appreciation to Bernama personnel who have greatly assisted the KPWKM in disseminating information to the public.

“Bernama is our first media partner to receive the iftar meals from us this year.

“Every year, we distribute Sarawak Laksa or any iftar meals to our media partners because we understand that their schedules can be unpredictable due to their duties. So we hope this iftar meal will help them in some way, especially during Ramadan,” said Deborah, representing the Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.

Also present at the event were Bernama deputy editor-in-chief (News Services) Nasriah Darus, and deputy editor-in-chief (Economic News Services) Azlina Aziz.
